STMA Named Rensselaer Medal School
St. Thomas More Academy has been named a Rensselaer Medal School by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. This honor provides a scholarship opportunity worth a minimum of $60,000 for select outstanding math and science students who apply, are accepted and enroll at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
St. Thomas More Academy has distinguished itself as having outstanding courses in mathematics and science, and has met rigorous academic standards to become a Rensselaer Medal School. As a Rensselaer Medal School, St. Thomas More Academy may select one member of its junior class to be honored with the Rensselaer Medal. The Medal, first presented in 1916, recognizes superlative academic achievement and motivates students toward careers in science, engineering and technology. Medal recipients who apply, are accepted, and enroll at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute are provided a scholarship worth a minimum of $60,000.
