Mr. Joe Rankin

Instructor in Mathematics & Sciences

Joseph Rankin was born in Pittsburgh, but spent time in different parts of Pennsylvania and Rhode Island before his family settled in Steubenville, Ohio. After finishing college he realized that his calling and vocation in life was to teach mathematics. “So much of mathematics relates to the study and application of logical reasoning. Concepts build upon each other to form new concepts, ultimately fitting together like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle.” Mr. Rankin’s classroom is an environment for students to learn not only about different mathematical topics, but also a place where they can apply and develop their critical reasoning skills.

Joseph Rankin earned his B.S. and M.S. in mathematics and education at Franciscan University. He also studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Education.
