Mr. Kell Peterson
Instructor in Humanities & Sciences
Kell Peterson joins the STMA faculty with more than a decade of teaching experience across several disciplines. His greatest passion is literature, especially poetry, though he admits to being “skeptical” in his youth he as “about the reading recommendations of adults.” Always afraid “I was being tricked into hours of boredom or ‘impracticality’, a good many years were wasted before I discovered the literature of C.S. Lewis. Suddenly, there was never enough time to read. And the drive became reading not only all of Lewis, but also all of the works that had informed Lewis’s mind. This impossible task continues to this day.”
Mr. Peterson is a Ph.D. candidate at University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He was an undergraduate at Elon, where he was a member of the 1981 National Championship team in Football. He earned a B.A. in Economics at Rockhurst University and later studied British Modernism for three years at Cambridge.
