Jim Shaughnessy manages information technology at the Academy and is adjunct instructor in computer technology.
“Computers have always fascinated me because the technology is constantly changing. There is always something new to learn! After a long career at IBM, it is rewarding for me to share some hard earned lessons with eager, gifted, young minds.” He believes “it is essential to give our students the right environment for learning and to nurture the discipline needed to use technology responsibly. Electronic systems provide so many ways to accelerate the learning experience, to understand the ways and needs of other cultures, and to explore the depths, the mysteries, and the remarkable beauty of our Faith.”
Mr. Shaughnessy finished his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and an M.B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh.
