Mary Draper is adjunct instructor in Latin. “The mind is an amazing thing and does amazing things. At the Academy I work with excited students who enjoy doing amazing things, not least in Latin!” Considering the challenges her subject presents, she is fond of the saying ora et labora, the critical habits of real scholarship.

Mrs. Draper graduated with a B.A. in classics from Franciscan University. She earned her M.A. in Greek philology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is now engaged in doctoral studies.
