A Growing Tradition of Excellence!

St. Thomas More Academy was founded to provide an outstanding and affordable Catholic college preparatory education for Raleigh and its surrounding areas. Founded in 2002 with permission of the Most Reverend F. Joseph Gossman, Bishop of Raleigh, the Academy’s first classes met at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. The school relocated in 2004 to a larger facility at Paragon Park Road, Raleigh, then again to an even larger space at Spring Forest Road, Raleigh, in 2006. In 2007 the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, reaffirmed diocesan support for the school and blessed the new 12-classroom, three-acre campus. The campus also houses a chapel, a library, faculty offices, lab spaces, and two theaters.
