Admissions Test

St. Thomas More Academy uses the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) who administers and grades the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) to evaluate rising 9th and 10th graders.  Many private schools in our area, and many more college preparatory schools throughout the nation, use this test for evaluative purposes.  The ISEE is an excellent tool for any college preparatory school, as the results are often very similar to those the student receives after taking the PSAT the first time in their freshmen year.  The ISEE gives the school and parents a good sense of where the student is on a trajectory toward taking the SAT in their senior year.

While this test is regularly scheduled at St. Thomas More Academy, students may take the test elsewhere at a location of their convenience.  Test results may be forwarded to St. Thomas More Academy.

Parents may check the test schedule and register students at the ISEE registration web page.  ERB also offers an on-line student guide to help students prepare for the test.  STMA will have some of those guides also available for parents who request them.

ERB’s fee for the test is currently (though subject to change, please check on website for latest fees) $98 with online registration.  Phone registration carries additional fees.  Be sure to register early for the test, since walk-in registration at the test location is more costly and subject to availability.

ISEE Test for 2013-2014 Admissions

The ISEE Test may be taken at any location as long as results are submitted to St. Thomas More. For your convenience we have 4 test dates provided at STMA during the 2012-2013 academic year for admission to the 2013-2014 school year.
