Extracurricular activities are an important part of the community life at St. Thomas More. A rich variety of clubs, special events, and sports keep STMA students active. These opportunities are important to supplement the education that the students receive in the classroom.
Every year more than seventy-five percent of the student body is actively engaged in extracurricular activities. Every student has a chance to become involved. STMA encourages students to think about new activities that foster the community life and build leadership skills. Indeed, nearly every extracurricular program at the school was started through the initiative of exemplary students. Among the many ongoing at STMA are very popular clubs devoted to Chess, Debate, Film, Food and Cookery, the Honduras Mission Group, Math, Philosophy, Pro-life Witness, Rocket Science, the Science Olympiad, Self-Defense, and Weightlifting.
