Mrs. Luisana Briceño
Instructor in Humanities and Languages (grades 6-12)
Luisana Paiva-Briceño was born and raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, and came to the United States in 2004. Before coming to STMA she worked as a bilingual teaching consultant at the University of North Carolina and Florida International University. She values the classroom as a “wonderful and exciting” venue where students learn to understand and communicate in a language other than English and learn “about the culture that speaks that language. That’s the way to absorb all the richness of a second language.”
Mrs. Paiva-Briceño earned her B.A. at the University of Zulia, in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She teaches French and Spanish.
